Holy Smokes! Just when you thought it couldn't possibly get any tougher, SURPRISE! These last 30 days really packed in a punch I wasn't expecting. Here I am thinking, wow, I survived month 1. I should be able to last a little longer starting out in month 2. Yeah right!!!

Where I notice the biggest change was not in the pounds gained or lost, but in my endurance. I am also a pretty avid runner with our local running group, so I am constantly trying t go just a little bit faster or a little bit harder than the last time. It is hard because I am usually with my son (6) and he is not the fastest yet. don't get me wrong, for only being 6 and still averaging a 9:30-10: min mile when he applies himself , it is still not as fast as I would like. When we do our sprint intervals, I would be able to keep up with the faster group for the first few rounds, then would hit that wall. Lately, I have been able to stick with them to the end before I start feeling it. So definite improvement there.
My weight stayed about the same. Not really up or down, but I am in the stage of my life where I am fairly content with where I am at and just trying to maintain my current level. Plus, dialing in my nutrition is still a challenge for me. Not nearly as complicated 2 years ago, but still a challenge.
Anyway, as far as Max 30, I think it is an excellent cardio program with just enough strength training to really give you an all around workout. I wouldn't recommend it for a beginner. Although there are modified moves and they are demonstrated, you want to have a pretty solid foundation on how to do the exercises before you start, so you are less likely to hurt yourself. While many of the combinations are new, they are still rooted from Shaun T's past programs he has created. So if you have done any of those or would like to, I would start there before jumping into Insanity Max 30. I hope my review has helped you. Please, if you have any additional questions on my experience, feel free to reach out to me!
