As a coach and fitness enthusiast, I hear all the time about
how people are unhappy with their physical appearance due to being overweight
or obese. How they want their outside to match their inside, full of life,
confidence, and energy. However, what is often overlooked, is the damage being
done to your body on the inside while carrying all that extra weight.
We see pictures in magazines, websites, and on the TV of the
outside effects of dealing with being overweight, but never see much about the inside.
As you can see in the picture on the left is a person around 200 lbs or more. On
the right, a person about 130 lbs or less. Notice in the pictures on the left you
can see how the excess body fat not only surround all the muscles, but the
organs and brain too. The upper legs and hips are flared out, causing the knees
to buckle inward and compressing the joints, instead of being in one linear
line. I can only imagine the additional pain felt in the back, ankles or even with
breathing.
For those of you who might know me, and those that don’t, you
are probably saying, sure you are already lean and healthy, so that is easy for
you to say. I was not always healthy. I faced other health threats of being
unhealthy, such as diabetes. I have a long history of this disease in my family
and have lost several family members because of it. Several years ago I was the
heaviest I’d ever been (200lbs) and teetering with the fact that their fate
could become mine. I found a health and
nutrition coach, and got to work.
Now, my team and I do are best to pay it forward
and help out as many as we can. Through a proper program including quality
nutrition, regular exercise, and unyielding support, we maintain our health and
continue to support others on their journey every day. Are you ready to change?
Come join us then.
