I've been part of the fitness group led by Coach Mike for about a year. In that time, I've seen great progress in my fitness and nutrition thanks to the knowledge and support I've gotten from the team. Four years ago, I had a ruptured disc in my lower spine that resulted in constant pain and an inability to so much as walk across the room. I had always been physically active, but this stopped everything, and even with surgery there was no guarantee I'd ever walk again. Luck was in my favor, and the surgery was successful, and I even walked out of the hospital! From that day forward I vowed to do everything I could to make my body as fit and healthy as possible, so I'd never have to suffer through such an ordeal again, I was cautioned against even low impact work, such as with an elliptical trainer, but I gradually built up strength and endurance; my goal was to complete a TBB program. When I ordered "Insanity" and signed up with TBB, I was blessed to be found by my coach Michael Perales, who has from the very beginning of my fitness journey provided valuable help and information, from my early days in struggling with finding modifications that worked for me, to encouraging me to branch out and explore other TBB programs. He has always provided support through challenge groups and with personal contact, helpful information and encouragement when I feel frustrated. There is no question that my TBB coach and the support and challenge groups he's provided have been an essential piece in my fitness, and my achieving success with TBB programs.

I tried multiple times to get in better shape and never made it too far. But I can say that I have been sticking to my program way longer than ever before. So what has been difference this time around? That difference has been having someone like Mike connect with me and check in with me. Many times I would get that ping when I needed the most. Also seeing the active life he lives keeps me moving and motivated.

I've lost 20 pounds in about 2 months. Just working out and eating right. I go work out after dinner and no eating after 6pm. Lots of water. Your encouragement really helped kick me in gear and continues to help everyday!!

Coach Mike has been a friend of the family for years. Roughly two years ago, I was very weak, immobile, had plenty of pain in my back and neck, among other health problems. I dreamed of living a fit and active lifestyle and wanted to commit to it.
Though I didn't stay with Beachbody, Mike continues to be an excellent source of motivation in my pursuit of an active lifestyle. I've lost 40 pounds, gained confidence, mobility, and physical freedom. I am now living on of my dreams.
